MLHS Celebrates 15 Years.

Millbrook local history society celebrated their 15th Anniversary by holding a tea dance at Holy Trinity Church Hall ,Millbrook Road on Sun 26th July.

A great time was had by all who attended.To help with the celebrations Cllr Cathie McEwan ,a local councillor and City Sherriff cut the celebratory cake and gave a small speech .

Invited guests were regular speakers at the society's monthly meetings and many of the regulars who attend the monthly meetings.

Roast Out local caterers provided the delicious tea and music was provided by Ukofonics Southampton's premier ukulele band who entertained with great music and laughter.

A raffle was held, most of the prizes were donated and money raised going to fund the society's September outing.

Funding for the event was from Southampton City Council Community Chest fund.

Monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month (exc August) at the Millbrook Church Hall 7.30pm.3rd September is the AGM with a little quiz thrown in.

There is a different speaker every month with talks on local and history that is further afield.
